Most anglers are well aware of the glare reflected by water but many may be unaware that harmful UV light is at its most intense when reflected off this kind of bright surface. Because of this, it is especially important to protect the eyes from UV damage as well as troublesome glare.

Polarised sunglasses are perfect for eliminating the glare from water and in doing so, can allow you to see the fish clearly in the water.

But the sun doesn’t shine all year round and conditions can change when spending a day out fishing. For this purpose, transition lenses are highly recommended as they will adapt to changing light conditions whilst permanently protecting the eyes.
